Alyssa Terrell

Director of Training and Development

Alyssa holds a M.Ed. in Human Resource Development and is certified in Strategic Development and Deployment Systems (SDDS). She is also a certified Trauma Informed Caregiver and serves as a trainer, and an evaluation and site reviewer for the Teaching Family Model. Alyssa spent 25+ years leading the Training Department of The Children’s Home in Cincinnati, a large non-profit.

Alyssa was adopted at birth and her life experience has led her to develop a strong connection to the foster population and vulnerable families. Her work is also informed by her personal experience of interacting with the mental health system as a teenager, and she is strongly motivated by this experience to support Villedge’s relationship-based model of care.

Alyssa’s 30 year career has includes experience in juvenile justice field, clinical treatment support and non-profit staff training. She is the primary trauma-informed care trainer for Villedge’s staff, including our coaches and volunteers. Alyssa has a strong commitment to service and her leadership has improved team outcomes and overall organizational health.
